ECU's and Chips and stuff...

Come on, I know somebody out there has got to be able to do something for us from an ECU perspective one day. This has got to be the most repeated topic on the orgy with STILL no answer. Anyway...I am complaining because I am helping a buddy of mine modify his TT. He was a fool and bought the 180hp TT which needs serious help. Well, APR makes a chip for the TT (along with all the 1.8L VW's) and has all these cool add-on's like the Valet feature limiting the RPM's to 3000 and speed to 30mph when you turn it over to a valet. Then there is using the cruise control stalk to switch between "stock" and "race" programs on the ECU. Their chip holds up to four different programs. Really neato stuff for between $500 and $750 depending on what you go with.

Yeah, my buddy and I are going to reprogram the chip on his MustangGT.
Same thing...multiple settings, race mode, valet, etc.

I'm going to repeat myself.

Email, write, call, stop by, JWT to ASK/BEG/PLEA for them to reconsider spending more R&D on our ECU. I don't think it's 100% impossible, but the problem is that it's going to take a lot of interest from Maxima owners to make JWT take on the expensive process of R&D for 2-years worth of Maximas. It's just NOT worthwhile business wise, unless there is a lot of interest.

NOBODY ELSE IS GOING TO OFFER ANYTHING WORTHWHILE!

I do agree.. I really wish I could upgrade my ecu.

Also think of this... If the last year they did was for a 96 would it be better to skip the 97-99 and go directly to the 2000-2001?

Another question to marinate on, Is it worth thier time to do it for a small market. I.E. the 2 years the 2000-2001 were on sale since the 2002 is different

On the same token is it worth thier time for the 97-99?

Just something for you to also think about.

Is there anyone on org that has one? Any ideas on what HP it would add to a N/A Max w/ all the standard mods?

Nobody that I know of. It's not worth it for a na max. It's the kinda computer to really fine tune the engine with, and a intake etc just ain't worth it.

Yup, he has that in there.

9 psi = Aquamist's cooling effect (cooler temp = less pressure)

I know cooler temp (such as intercooler) causes less boost pressure, but what they hell is aquamist cooling effect.

Works the same as an IC.

is this like a generic air/water intercooler? Or is it a true air/watter ic or what. Sounds like a mist of water getting sprayed into the pressure pipe.
