Front strut bar question?

Can you guy's out there tell me if the front strut bar is really worth the money? Does it really improve performance, or is it all in the mind! I have a 2002 SE 6spd and I love to drive it hard, I'm thinking of buying one, but wanted to hear from the experts first!

John.It makes a huge difference and you will notice it immediatly.Stillen is in the process of making one strictly for the 2k2.It will be a two piece that will attach to the strut towers and then to the fire wall.I feel this will probaly be 2ice the price because its new and from Stillen. The one from Courtesy is great and only around 100 bucks.Good luck and I highly recomend it.

I see them alot on E-Bay. I believe the Trust strut bar is about $70.00, There are others on E-Bay, but I've been told the other ones are Cheap Junk!

Re: front strut bar

Got this on E-Bay but it's not the "trust" bar. Recently did a group deal here as well, $45 shipped UPS.

Look for seller directcarparts@hotmail.com on ebay.

Greg @ Custommaxima is claiming that he will soon deliver a new STB...I am assuming which will be like the Stillen two-piece (hopefully for both the VQ30 and VQ35 versions of the Max).

Maybe it is just me, but I didn't really fell the difference with FSTB on my car.
I had it on my 2000 SE and now on 2002 SE and I can't really say it made the car handle better.
Last week I took the FSTB off my car and drove around without it and the car seemed to feel the same.

I will probably put it back on but that is how it feels to me.

RSB that I used to have on 2000 SE, seemed like it made a nice difference. Right now my 2002 SE has a lot of body rool without the RSB.

I just got the same bar as Soundmike from ebay, and I noticed a big difference when making corners. This is a must get!!!

Here's how it goes:

FSTB - Helps with fast cornering, not sure about Courtesy's claim of 15+ mph but it definitely works wonders speeds above 25mph. It feels like steering response is tighter, quicker and more precise.

An added benefit is it helps keep your wheels planted on the ground more evenly and thus less tire wear.

RSB - Definitely a big improvement because it helps lessen the effect that's most notable on the Max - Body Roll/lean.
