Will any muffler shop build me an exhaust

Just curious as to who builds custom exhausts(im in CT and not one performance shop within 50 miles).I want an exhaust for my 2k2 but can not afford a Greddy or HKS.What do I need to ask for when I go to a muffler/exhaust shop.I want a full cat back which I can later add on a y-pipe to without major complication. What size do I need and how can they make it so its not loud. Thanks for any help or suggestions and yes I did do a search and nothing helpfull came up.Thanks again.

Well WarpspeedPerformance.com can make you Bpipe. I think would rather go with Cattman.com and their new Catback exhaust. If you get a custom muffler, then you will have to do the thing I went through in having it welded on and new hangers welded on.

I believe most of the 2k2 owners already understand that there is not going to be a Ypipe made for yalls car. They are making a header, which I assume is going to cost over 1g.

WarpSpeed is making a Y pipe for the 2k2. Should be testing it in 3-4 weeks. I have not heard any news of a header...my understanding is that the stock header was pretty solid and the HP gains from an aftermarket header is so minimal (.5) that it is not worth the money and install work (for N/A cars). Here is a site that tested this:

Well Midas or Mineke is going to rip you a new Ahole. Most of them dont do stuff like that, definetely not performance style work. They most likely will not have a mandrel bending machine.

Also they will charge upto $150 for it.
