Cattman UPDATE

Current Cattman Developments:
--------------------------------
1) The Catback is in production and should be FOR SALE for $600 in 1-2wks. He is looking for a LA Maxima HOPEFULLY with a Y-pipe to test fit the final production version for discount and possible FREE installation. He had a 2K2 from Phoenix(Anyone know who?) already test fit the preproduction version and it worked perfectly. YES IT WILL FIT 2K-2K2. He said it was a STOCK 2K2 and the sound was nice and quiet.

Contact Brian IMMEDIATELY if your in the LA area and interested.

2) B-pipe(Mid-pipe) used in the catback will be available SEPERATELY and includes a 20"x4.5" resonator. All 304 SS of course. I ESTIMATE the price to be around $200-225.

3) FSTB has been on hold, but is starting back up. The Titanium bar originally thought to be used is not looking promising, so a Billet bar is more likely. I ESTIMATE the price to be around $120(somewhere between the Courtesy and Stillen).

4) 2K2 Y-pipe development is currently underway. No idea when it'll be ready yet.

5) Gen 4 Catback development is currently underway. No idea when it'll be ready yet. It will be similar to the Gen 5, but cheaper and have a single tip.

6) AGX's are READY to be shipped, so order now. Price is $450/set. Any other package deals and such will be announced by Cattman, I'm just telling you what they cost individually.

Last Brian has been extremely busy lately in his "real" job, so he has been neglecting Cattman Performance. However, the GOOD NEWS is he plans on spending an upcoming 6-months to 1-year FULL-TIME, building the business to the potential he thinks it can be. Hopefully, this means NEW products and FASTER development at least that's what I'm hoping for.

AGX'x

So are the AGX's the 4th gens modded to fit a 5th gen, or are they actual 5th gen AGX's?

so does that mean that the ones they release now will function just as the real 5th gen shocks will? cuz i dont want to throw down 4+bills if they're not going to perform as well as the 'real' ones

Shox.COM is quoting prices on the AGX and GR2 for the 5th gen already. They are expecting to start shipping them in "Summer 2002" for $409 (AGX) and $329 (GR2). Somebody at KYB told them to get ready...one would assume.

I e-mailed someone at KYB(AGX) and they said there is no truth to that and they are still checking out the application for the 5th gen

I saw a thread that said you trim a little off the front mounts to make them fit. What actually gets trimmed? I'm not that knowledgable about cars, so help me here. Thank you.

there is just a metal piece that you shave down with a grinder, it's a cyclinder right in the middle, trim it enought ot get a good hold of the middle strut bolt. very easy.

Ok. The strut mounts have three holes that bolts go through. Then the center hole has a piece of rubber inside of it. Is the metal that gets shaved down inside there? Do you have pics?

emax has pics, but yes it's the center hole with rubber around it and the long metal cyclinder, just shave it down 1-2cm so you can get a bolt to thread onto the strut good, that's IT.

hey are you guys aware that the rear(AGX) does not fit the Eibach( rear spring) correctly? I had mine put on the other day and the front is fine, but the rear had to put on in such a way that the weight of my car will push the spring down on the shock seat. it's not fully all the way down yet, but hitting a few more bumps should press it down. did anyone out there had experienced this before??? please comment..

Update on that, a half CM would work best. If you shave to much off like I did they won't work properly.

I think Cattman recomends using "4th gen mouts", you can buy them from him.
