They are that light. This is what Ive been looking for myself. If you pick up the new HCI magazine just open the front cover and look inside. They have a full page ad. I think im gonna get the rpm in silver and put some 5 mm h&r spacers on the back as they only come in 7.5 wide.

How long till you get them. Cant say im kinda jealous, I wanted them first. Oh well,... weigh them up when you get them and post some pics. Its gonna be a tight squeeze with a 245 on a 7.5 wide rim.

Good price. My only wish is that they would make a 8" wide.

Sounds awesome, but be careful out there kids. A 245/35 ain't got a lot of sidewall and unless the wheel has some kind of amazing new engineering to it I'd have to imagine being over 10 lbs lighter than the average wheel that size might have some impact on strength/durability.

Someone should get information about the strength of these rims... I'm interested in the Black Pearl RPMs But I don't want them to break on me.

Besides buying new tires what would I need to do to use these rims on my 2k2 SE?

That is my only concern like paul said. The other thing to think about is that its a 7.5 wide rim and a 235 or 245 for that matter really should be on a 8-9.5 inch wide rim. Ive been told by two different tire performance shops not to use a 7.5 wide rim. I may need to reconsider these wheels. Damn such an inexpensive 19 inch wheel. Below is a link from toyo's website regarding the 235 35 19 tire and specific rim widths. Sorry to dissapoint anyone, myself included.

Just want to let you know them S03s are heavy as ****! I bought a set of 17x8 SSR Competitions with 235/45/17 S03s. They weigh about 43lbs combined. The 17x8 Competitions suppose to weigh only 13.1 lbs, so you can figure out how much the tires weigh. Good tires, but way too heavy. I returned them later.

I'm trying to decide what I want on my grey lustre 2k2 max--not sure if black or gunmetal will look good or not, I'm thinking it will but I have to see it in person first.
BTW, saw these rims in person and they are as light as rims come. It was strange picking up the wheel with one finger. The pictures on the site don't do much for 'em, they looked amazing in person. Can't say anything about the quality, seemed like your typical light rim.

I know this is going to sound like a really pathetic question, but... How do you know what tire will fit on a certain size rim on that link... (17", 18", etc)

And what exactly do the numbers means.

Subject: RPM and Excel Wheels

I am interested in the front wheel drive RPM and Excel wheels. I would like to know the wheel weights for the 18x7.5's, MSRP, and any other additional information you can provide.

Thanks

Melteye, check out tirerack.com for more information on tires.

Does anyone have any information on tire weight? I have read a few posts here and there but haven't seen any solid numbers. For wheels weights check out this.

tire widths vs wheel widths

If you go to tirerack.com, when you select a tire, click on the Specs link and it will tell you the range of wheel size that will fit that tire.
Using the Kumho Ecsta 712 as an example:
16x6.0 will fit 225/50 or 225/55
16x7.0 will fit 245/50
17x7.0 will fit 225/45
17x7.5 will fit 235/45 or 245/45
etc
