installing springs for $200?

am i getting ripped off? or 150 sounds better...or less..?

if you're getting an alignment, then about $150 is aiite...i paid $75 w/out alignment

GOOD LORD!! the places ive contacted so far have said :

$192(w/out alignment)
$365(didn't even bother askin if it came with an alignment)!!

That is way too much...get with some local enthusiasts and have them do it fo 50-75 max...and then you can celebrate...it is not that hard...I learned the hard way the first time.

Here in Dallas, I've paid $150 on Eibach pro-kits b4. Make sure that they know what they are doing, or that they are a reputable shop.

i watched over one of my friends change the springs on a civic without a spring compressor. (the guy that did the install owns a civic and had experience doing it before) you think the maxima will be similar to a civic or should i just take it to the shop?

From what i've observed, definitely get the compressor. That should save you huugggee amounts of time on the install.

You need a compressor to take out the OEM front springs only. The rears you can do without one. The install of the lower springs usually doesn't require using the compressor, thus making the job that much easier. I can change the springs in my car in just over 2 hours.
