Does anyone have or heard of a Clear bra (StonGard) being installed on a 5th Gen Max. It seems to have all the right pieces to cover the entire front of the car, including the side mirrors. The following list is for the FULL KIT. The Partial Kit comes with 8 pieces. There is also a kit for the headlights and fogs. Would like to hear what you guys think....Thanks!

Sounds like a lot of work and money to me..

I looked into that clear bra at one time myself... I wasn't sure what to think, but it sounds like you are investing a lot of money. I imagine you'll still have to remove it for cleanings and after it gets wet --> I don't know much about it, but trapped water would have to be removed or released. I would talk to one of their techs to find out all the pros and cons.

Check out the 3M Clearmask deal...

I set up in the group deals forum. I just got the kit for the 2K Max, I paid $200 for everything you need to protect the car. Installation is another story, but I watched the video they sent and it should not be a real pain if you follow the instructions. This is a semi permanent item, you do not remove it once it is on the car, it can be washed or waxed as needed. Let me know if you want more info. This is a wholesale price and it will not last forever!

...how it goes. I have been thinking of ordering the kit, but have heard/read conflicting stories about the likelihood of success.

Thanks in advance.

I have purchase th ekit from clearmask and it is amazing product. I am not yet installed the clearmask for my max due to the weather condition. But I believe is a great product. You can check the website @ http://www.clearmask.com and James Seely will send you a fre brochure and door guard pieces fro you to try. I spend less than $200 for the set without installation and it is so much cheaper that stongard or x-pel because it's dealer price not retail.

If you live around Dallas/Ft Worth I know an installer for about $150 trhey will install it for you.
James Seely also preety helpful, he gaves me extra pieces for my headlight and foglight. So check the website and give him a call or email.

Good luck

Erwin

I watched the video James sent with my kit - I know I can do this, just have to wait for the spring thaw or find a friend with a warm garage!
