Wheel Rim Alignment Mark

For those of you that haven't spotted it look for the red dot on your tire. Then look at your rim adjacent to that red dot. You'll see a drop of paint or glaze on each rim at that location. You'd think that Nissan could find a better way to align wheels at assembly other than to blemish the rims in this manner. Nobody that I've spoken to knows how to remove these spots. They look permanent.

Has anybody found anyway to remove these alignment marks ? BTW, these marks are on the SE rims. Not sure about the other models. The Nissan service dept. didn't even know that the marks were there. Says that they look permanent and they don't have a clue how you'd remove them short of resurfacing the wheels !!!
