Where is the ignition coil located?
Denville Nissan in New Jersey doesn't want to replace my Ignition coil. I now have 57,000 miles on my car and they say it's not covered under the 60K mile warranty. I am going to replace it myself. Where is it located in the engine compartment. Does anyone have a photo of it? I won't give a penny to those mohter******. Thanks, Steve.

Your car has 6 of them and they are located on the top of each spark plug in the valve covers. I would attempt to get them replaced by Nissan due to the cost. Call Nissan North America if you are not happy with your dealer's service. Did the dealer say if you needed one or all six?

They told me that one was bad, but all of them would need to be replaced. I called Nissan 800# and they did nothing. They said the same thing Denville Nissan said. I could understand if this happened only to me, but this problem is happening to everyone who has 2000 Maxima. F*** Nissan and F*** Denville Nissan New Jersey!

yeah but...
the new coils are a different part number. I would try to secure some coils from a 2k1 or newer. Or just call Dave B. At least you'll get a reasonable price.
Yeah, coils would be the 36K warranty, not 5/60 (unless you bought the extended). The powertrain warranty is purely internal engine and trans.
