Cold Air Intake is in
Cold Air Intake is in
I had received my CAI about 2 months ago and i finilly had the time to work on placing it in. It was hell. The pipe was not sitting in and i was getting very ****ed. but then i made the hole bigger intill it finnaly fit. It sounds good, and i don't know if it is any faster. It feels like it but i have to time it to make sure. But one thing is for sure, if ur getting one do not cut were indicated by the tamplet cut about 2 inches twardes the front of the car.

I also had to make the whole bigger, when I called them they said I had the 99 template,,, hello now you tell me after i have a fricking hole the size of a bowling ball(not literally it feels that big). You should call them, and tell them of the mistake, and see what they tell you. Bernie
Where did you all get it from I got mine directly from place racing and I have a 2000 template. If you guys installed it did you all have the wrong template or am I going to have to same problem.

Basically so we dont have any confusion, more toward the rear of the car if you were looking straight at the engine from the front of the car. I dont think making the hole closer to the front of the bumper is going to make it fit. Just then it get too close to the battery and to a point where the battery is not going to fit nor the battery plate.

For mine, if your looking from in front of the engine(standing) my hole had to go back(up towards the windshield) about 1.5 inch, and the white box that held the wires would not fit so we taped them up really well, under the black box(fuse), my hole now is about 4-5 inches round, because of the fit, not being correct,,ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I was so mad

Then look directly left about i say 2" (no actually 2" on the picture, inside the picture. You see how far that screw hole is, just make yours similar to that before drilling.
