Help, installed intake and have to many sounds!

I installed the berk Intake tonight. I was wondering about this hissing for starters. It makes a squeek hissing sounds when I hit the gas 30-40%. Im assuming thats normal. But what surprised me, was that after I turned off the car, the intake hisses, then after that it starts to make this ticking sound. So I turned the key to on, and that ticking sound stays there untill I turn ot off. Also, how are you people mounting the front airbox pipe that just hangs there with 2 screws? when I go over bumps, I hear it rattle.

On a positive note, I have way more torque steer after installing the intake.....If that it a good thing

Yeah, I noticed the same ticking/clicking/hissing sound when you start the car. I didn't even turn the ignition on, it was only on ACC and already making those sounds. No weird sounds other than starting and turning off the engine tho..

Yes exactly, on acc. Tickign and clicking? It does it when I turn off car to. What is it? The only other sound is the hissing when i tap the gas....more of a whistling. Very little growl.

Can other Berk tech intake users confirm this? I was looking forward to some growl.

It growls yes, but not annoyingly. I also didnt get a stock filter, I went with a slightly bigger and more cone shaped. The parts fit perfect and the service was great. I just really need to know if my sounds are normal, and what the heck em I supposed to do with that air box front piece.

Well it was recommended to keep the front airbox piece (I think you mean the air scoop?) there...gave the intake a source of air and has some sensors plugged into it.

I'm guessing it's a normal sound...nothing weird except for the sounds at ACC. The engine growls especially loud with overdrive off and going up a freeway onramp

Hi guys, I have been running with BerkTech intake for over a month now and there is a little hissing but not anoying on my car, most people dont notice.

For the OEM air inlet, I removed it cuz it was only hold by 2 screws and could possibly mess up something if loosen. Dont forget to remove the temp sensor from the air inlet. I just tie it to some cable near the battery. I guess you unplug the battery negative prior to install right ? Otherwise check for leaks or loose clamp.

Cheers
