Play with Tweeters!

Has anyone just replaced the tweeters in their Bose Max? I don't mind the stereo but the highs are kind of lacking. Are the factory tweeters (not mids) also 1 Ohm? If they are made by Clarion, I would assume they may be different. Could these be easily replaced with another tweeter that is not paper and produce better highs?

Yes, they are made by Clarion. But, I'm not sure if they are 1 Ohm or 2 Ohm. I replaced everything!
I'll check if I still have them laying around the garage tonight.

Re: Re: Play with Tweeters!

ADMAN,
That would be great if you could take a look. I would like to replace the tweeters, and keep the Bose. My last car was a money pit putting nearly $5000 in stereo equipment. All I have now is worn out rear suspension and a fiance who tells me I listen to it too loud. I think that a small sub will have to replace that rattling unit in the rear deck. Maybe a 10 inch free air in it's place after dynamatting the rear deck. Thanks for helping out.

Maybe that is why they are so quite. The other speakers are 1 OHM, so a 4 OHM speaker with the regular amps would be pretty quite. Does that make sense?
