This is a great question. I would like to know too...I put some "red" ones in from PepBoys but they look pink.

Hopefully someone has the answer...

sells all kinds of colored bulbs and led lights. I haven't had any experience buying from them though so I don't know about the quality, sorry.

I think a couple people wrote a while back that the performance from the LED replacement bulbs weren't any good. If you try it and find out differently, let us know!

I know that these aren't LED's but it's pretty close to the topic. This is a link to another thread that was talking about RED/SUPPOSED TO BE RED bulbs that you could use in your rear sidemarkers if you put the clear corners on. The last post may be the most relevant.

So you think the Polarg will be the best for normal operation? I dont have any accelerators.

ive got the red polargs in my clear lenses in the back. compared to the stop lamp, they are still too pinkish for my liking. the bulb itself is dark as hell, but its pink when compared to the brake lamps. a friend of mine used some type of balloon around the bulb excluding the connections and it helped alot. it wasnt as bright but the color was more on target.

wouldnt it make sense for companies that sell colored bulbs to have a picture of what it looks like lit up so customers dont have this problem.

well the ones i have look fine when they are totally lit up but my blinkers blink so fast that a incandescant bulb can't get to full color fast enought, but LED's are MUCH faster.

You guys can try www.midnightmoose.com, they got some good bulbs for cheap prices. I believe a 2k2 owner on the forum posted up a lot of pics to compare the bulbs, i'll try to look for it.

Yup, that waz me. MIDNIGHT MOOSE.COM just added the 194 RED LEDs. I think I read somewhere that the clear-markers use 194-wedge bulbs. If so, then you can use these LEDs. I have the white ones & I love em. Not very bright, but very cool, natural looking - almost like neon! Have 'em on my doors. Check out my pics: http://2k2maxima.freewebspace.com/photo.html

ASK MIDNIGHTMOOSE.COM FOR A DISCOUNT CODE FOR ALL MAXIMA.ORG MEMBERS & TELL US WHAT IT IS...

Later,
