I went to the dealer today about my problem with braking at higher speeds. When I brake above 60 or so, I get steering wheel vibration. They said my rotors need to be replaced and will do the repair when they get rotors in stock. Apparently they are on backorder. They said it will be fixed under warranty.

Issue 2:

I just received a Bel 980 through mail-order for $219. It does better than the V1 in X and K bands and equals its laser protection and Ka band. I was on the way to my Nissan dealer this afternoon I was trying out my brand new
Bel. It went off in an area where I normally don't see radar. I thought it was falsing and I started cursing under my breath. I braked anyway. Turns out there was a county cop standing by his Harley with a laser gun! I was
going 60 in a 40. Saved my butt. I'm ready for my holiday travelling now.... both to North Carolina and Connecticut.

Were did you see reports of the Bel performance bettering than the V1? Just wondering cause I would like to see if it was an independent test or Bel's test.

BTW V1's value isn't really in senitivity althought that is a strong area anyways. It's the "bougy counter" and the source direction indicator. I suspection though that in the future other's will include those features.

It was an independent test...

Also, this Bel 980 is immune to VG2, like a lot of the high end one's. Bogey counter is not necessary for me. (Not worth the extra $200 anyhow.) If the radar has gone off, I'm not taking any chances, I'm slowing down. After the radar is completely clear, I'll slowly speed up. I've also ordered the Passport 8500 to try that one out. That one tells you the exact frequency of the radar. The Passport 8500 is on big time backorder though.
