Question from a 2K2 owner. Please help

About 3 months ago I had a custom cat-back exaust put on my car.
Here are my questions...

1) When you get a custom exaust put on your car, do they do anything
to the the stock Y-Pipe?

2) I have a dynomax muffler on there right now, if I switch to a Borla or Greddy muffler, will I gain any horsepower??

I'm looking for just a little more power...Currently have Franken intake and the Exaust.
