Steering Wheel not centered

Steering Wheel not centered
I picked up my new baby yesterday (SE) with six miles on her. As I was driving home I noticed that the steering wheel was not centered when driving straight ahead (off about an inch...maybe just a hair less) towards the left. I realize that I do drive on a lot of heavily "crowned" roads, but I've never noticed that before in my other vehicles. I guess I should have test driven her before I took delivery. I did not notice this until about 40 miles later (I was watching my gauges carefully and then I noticed the wheel was canted to the left slightly). She doesn't feel out of alignment. I just can't believe they let her leave the factory like that. After 32 American made cars, I finally decided to buy an import...and to have a crooked/uncentered steering wheel has soured the purchase a bit. Anyone else experienced or experiences this?

Re: Steering Wheel not centered
That's why God made warranties, Mark. For what you paid for your Maxima, the least it should have is a properly oriented steering wheel. On the other hand, it's probably nothing to get concerned about. Drive your car for awhile and chances are you'll find other issues you'll want your dealer to address. Make a list and give it to your service writer when you take your car in for its first oil change.
