stock vs stock...

Impala SS runs 15.6 stock.
a 5-speed 2k Max runs 14.9-15.1 stock.
so...the Max will take an Impala SS...
an auto 2k Max will definitely lose...
(driver skill being equal)

but minor mods to the SS will put it waaay ahead...
my father has a 96 Impala SS...
he's running 13.1 @ 102mph all motor...

I've taken those Impala's before. I have a auto and when I raced it all i had i believe was a intake and exhaust. I have racied multiple ones also so I know it wasnt there car.

Impalas are pretty fast

One of my friends in Connecticut has a '96. He runs low 15's with a cone intake as his only modification. With a few more mods it runs 14.7-15. With more bolt-ons it runs in low 14's. There are various SC and turbo kits available that make this car run in 13's. He has faster cars though... '67 Camaro and 2000 Corvette.

No problem here lining up against the Impala SS. They run mid 15's i think. They are nice cars though, i wouldnt mind having one.
