Wind Noise TSB

If you have a 2k2 with a wind noise in the rear, and have taken it to get fixed without any luck. Nissan is now working on a new TSB for this problem. I took mine in with the TSB from the '00-'01 wind noise fix, and nothing fixed it. But according to my service department there is a new TSB in the making for the '02 maxima. I will let you know as soon a recieve it.

Will this also be for the rear windows, or will it address other noise areas?

thats funny 'cause i took my car in last week for warranty issues and had the following done:

1) replace clutch (old one had warped plates)
2) tighten bose system screws (stoopid rattle wont go away)
3) wind noise TSB (helped a little, now the cabin is quiet until you reach about 65 mph)

My rear driver's-side window (only) makes the noise. I can get rid of most of the noise when I sit back there, & apply pressure to the trim piece from the inside, while squeezing it with my thumbs. I'm assuming the new TSB will take care of an internal seal, rather than an external one. Who knows?... Other than that she's pretty quiet.

Let me know what happens. I think I'm getting some noise from the sunroof...seems to disapate when I close the shade (which is typically never). Although it could be coming from the rear passenger door. I guess I'll have to let the wife drive so I can check it out closer. I'm not thrilled about having the dealer start palying around until I pinpoint the source.

I know I'm bringing this back from the dead, but what was the outcome here? I have the exact same problem and I tried today to get some info out of Nissan, but they had no idea what I was talking about and claimed that they have never heard of it before, BS if you ask me. Basically, the guy just blew me off and said make an appointment. No offense to them, but I'm not just going to drop my car off if I don't think they can fix it. In any case, if there really is a TSB specific about the 02, I'd appreciate knowing. If I could bring something to them, or better yet, just order the part myself and save myself the headache of dealing with them, that would be great.

I just got me 2K3 today and I thought there seemed to be excessive wind noise from the left rear window. I kept pulling up on the power window switch to make sure the window was all the way up. Is the problem just a seal or something?

Wind Noise TSB

Guy's, check this thread out,it should help to solve your problem:
http://www.nhtsa.dot.gov/TSBScans/sb631181.pdf
Just print it and show it to your service department.
Good Luck!!!
Even though it was issued for the I30/I35,
it's the same window frame design as the Max.
