Tangled with a Contour SVT

Nothing like a good race to jolt you in the morning.

I guess I instigated when he tried to go into my lane to overtake an XJR turning right; I didn't let him and since then he's been on my a$$ until we got to the highway (635 East). Once we got to 635 he overtook me and, like a chick showing me her *****, I followed. From 5th, I dropped to third, placing me in the RPM sweet spot. I quickly gained on him and we were side by side for 10 seconds, then I WOT. Got a 2 max-car-length lead until we hit some traffic. It cleared then he then made his move again. I followed him, gained, lined side by side and blasted him with at least 3 max car length(?) lead until he exited. Tried to make eye contact but he never did. Not much of a challenge though.

I did realize something that during the race that I cut off a bunch of people to get to that guy and I almost clipped another car's rear bumper. It's a good thing I don't do this everyday.

Don't worry we would have taken the SVT Coutour with our Automatics as well.

I know how you feel. I had a Contour (SE V-6).. Darn thing spent more time in the shop than on the road it seemed (8 recalls, warped rotors at 26K, etc, etc). Ditched it last Nov for the Max.. On eof the best moves I ever made (car-wise anyway)...
