ARGH car is two days old and has 4 scratches from the dealer

Man, I am so pi$$ed. I just noticed today that I have 4 uniform scratches evenly spaced at the top of my hood near the windshield.

like this [ || || ] <-- that's a hood.

MaxedBandit said they probably tore the white plastic stuff on my hood off wrong.

I dunno what to do, I'm taking it into the dealership in the morning, I hope they'll fix it without hassle.

Should I ask them to just try to buff it out, repaint or a new hood?

brand new car...

I had the same problem, but it was only tape lines...easily removed! Take a terry cloth and a little window cleaner (little) and wipe the "scratch", it should disappear. Then wash it in that area.

WHEW!

You're right!!! It was only adhesive. I guess my fingernail test decieved me.

I guess my brother was right, I have become WAY too **** about my car. guess us maxima drivers just love our cars too much.

Thanks man, I woulda looked like a fool at the dealership going off about that.

The ORG rules!

Chinkzilla, you're not anymore **** than me. Check out my post about the "crooked MAXIMA emblem" on the trunk lid. I just picked mine up last weekend and though it took me a week to notice it...it appears that the worker who put the MAXIMA emblem on was not standing on level ground. It leans heavily to the left.
You may want to check yours and see if it's on straight.

I had the same things on my doors right after I took delivery. You know what? You SHOULD get mad! I was mad, too. You just spent a lot of money on a brand new car - the least they could do is make sure it doesn't have residue from the tape all over it!
