Merlot AE

We replaced our 96 Max with a Merlot AE in December of 2K. After over a year, is still so very, very awesome to drive. Have done two road trips between Seattle and So. Cal., loves the open road and especially cornering through the Siskyous at 85MPH. Fully loaded.

Looks sweet, 01MAXAE. When are you going to start modding it?

Your car looks great! I agree.... I do notice alot of heads turning when they see the AE. When I first got mine, alot of people said "That's a Maxima??? Wow, it looks to sporty!" So... when r u gonna start modding it?

That's true, of course, as is the tint. But it's only the beginning . . .

I'm also still in love with mine after a year and three months. I still feel that I couldn't have made a better choice Of the AE Max owners I've seen and met in the area, all seemed rather pleased with their vehicles also.

Cleaners and Waxes

Hi. Thanks for the compliment. She is so sweet. My other half works very hard on keeping her that way. We use products by Zymol. Check out local auto stores, www.zymol.com and www.autodetail.com for Zymol products.

AE MAXIMAS ARE SWEET!!! Personally if you have an AE and if you supercharge it then you have the best of both worlds...the nicest looking max and the quickest...at least until someone supercharges the 2002.

I love my AE. Go to my homepage and leave me with some of your opinions. I want to know what the public thinks should stay or go.

Nice car!! I love my Merlot AE as well!! I'll be taking a trip from SE Washington to San Diego myself pretty soon. I'm looking forward to it!!

My pics are a little dreary because of the cloudy day, but check out my home page.

Good call!

there really is no need to mod the appearance, besides the exhaust. even after i'm done modding it will look basically the same but HOPEFULLY run LOW 13's. 14.7 isn't walking any Ls1's. but it was enough to walk a mustang 4.6 GT on the highway if you're wondering.
I'm so satisfied with my AE.

My AE, (sterling mist) always turns heads. I have been able to walk several 4.sick mustangs on the freeway, and I am automagic. The trick is to take overdrive off and pull 3rd gear to 120. I have to say, that the AE is the best looking maxima, it has a body kit, which looks classy but is still agressive and sporty. I think that nissan should have been able to put the 3.5 in the AE. That would have been the proper way to do a 20th AE, IMO
