BMW 330 beat by 2k2 Max

Yo guys,
last night I was driving on I85, I was kinda of racing with my friend's 2000 maxima, then all of sudden I saw a pair of really bright HIDs coming up really fast behind me. he tailgated me for about 10 seconds, then he changed to the right lane and floor it. i accelerated a little too until we are about even. then i floored it all the way down....from 80-120mph.....i pulled 2 cars on him. After that I slowed down, and he past me. I got behind him and it says "330Ci". We play around a little bit more, but didn't floor it again. Anyways, I didn't expect to win, because some people are telling me they'll be faster cuz they are RWD. BTW, there is 2 guys in that car, and in my car its me & my gf. Mods: frankencar intake & 100lbs of stereo systems, and about 3 gallons left in my tank

my friend (cousin by marriage) has a 330Ci in Austin and my 2k2 auto took it by a car to a car and a half when I was stock, but as he got used to the shifting he narrowed the gap, but the max is gonna have the edge 9 times outta 100

9 out of 100? That's not such good odds if you ask me

Good kill. The 3.0 liter engine seems a little underpowered @ 225 hp. I bet BMW next year will step up the hp to around 240-250 to stay competitive.

RWD has no advantange once you're already moving. RWD is probably better than FWD, though, from a dead stop.

No doubt about it, RWD is the better setup off the line. Weight transfer, while great for RWD, does nothing but try to yank the front tires away from the pavement, which obviously sucks if your power comes through those fronts.

But AWD is still the undisputed king of 6k clutch-sidestep launches.

A co worker bought a 330 without Navigation and paid $43,000 . I paid 29,800, have more options , Navi and more POWER... I'll take the $13 Grand difference, but some Bolt on Mods, and a 100 shot, or a Blower, some lightweight 19's, I'll look better, run faster, and have enough money left over to go on a cruise !
