Auto 2K2 Vs. Honda Civic Coupe (GSR)

Was wondering what the times or hp/weight ratio were on a Honda Civic with a Integra GSR Motor... And its comparison to a 2K2 Auto Max with intake.

A 5G Civic with a B18C and 5sp is capable of running upper 14s- low 15s, with a top speed that depends mainly on body type (sedan, coupe, htchback). As far as weight goes, again it depends on body type and trim level (i.e.: a 5G Civic DX htchbk w/B18C should run quicker than a 5G Civic EX Coupe w/B18C) Alongside the H22A (Prelude) the Integra's B18C is one of the best 4cyl motors Honda ever produced; it's the main reason why we have the current SE-R Spec V and Ford Focus SVT, and why Subaru and Mitsu is importing the WRX and Evo VII.

I used to have a 96 Civ w/ 97 GSR motor. When I had the normal mods like Intake, Headers, Exhaust. The car was quick but not that fast, not even as fast as my 4th gen. When I floated the valves I had some serious head work done when I had the head off to fix it. When that was done the car was much faster and the diff. was very noticable. I had a valve job, lightend valves, porting, polish, and a little mill work done. The car was quick after that, once I hit that VTEC line it jumped out fast, and stayed out.

Basically if he has normal stuff, you will smoke him hard. If he has internal work, he might suprise you. Now if he has turbo or something then watch out, because that is where the money is.

So TRUE!! In one of my runs @ Etown Friday, a Turbo 5G Civic Hatchback running against me posted a 13.903sec@98.99mph ET.
