Depends on the seating

G35 coupe all the way if you have a family.

Any would be fun. I haven't seen a dyno on the RX-8 yet but guess it'll pull and drive like the S2000. I'm leaning towards that until we see the full potential of the "Z" with mods.

I think the RX-8 would fit 4 people better, with real rear seats and suicide doors to help get in the back. The April Road and Track had a good article on the RX-8.
How much smaller is the G35 coupe's rear seat compared to the sedan?

G35. It's the U.S version of the Skyline. Just grab yourself some JDM goodies and there you have it. And its sooooo smooth, power on demand.

the US will never have the REAL skyline nissan is stupid if they use the G35 as even a claim to slightly be a skyline! bring the real thing over already!

oh yeah i would get the 350z or the G35 coupe..... i dont dislike the G35 by any means just sayin that its not a skyline!

G35 all the way. There is no question. RX-8 has rotary engine(who knows how reliable it really will be). Log on to www.infiniti.com , read all about all of the BMW, Audi, MB like specs for the G35. I just hope it's not much over $35K when it hits the streets on November.

Plus the skyline you guys are thinking of is the Skyline GTR..... MUCH different than the skyline (G35) that we now have. But it's supposed to be different. The Skyline came in 4 doors. So it fits fine that the G35 is the US version of the Skyline. It is NOT true that the G35 is the Skyline GTR though.

I've also heard that the new sentra is considered a "mini maxima" by one of the magazine articles.

But to answer the origional question, I'd probably go with the G35 coupe. It has the same engine and a lot of other parts as the z, but I think it looks more refined. What is the weight distribution like on the Z? I know the G35 is 52/48 which would be a blast to drive.

The SE-R ripped off the "Spec V", reversing it from the Skyline GTR V-Spec, and mimicked some styling for the front end.

Yes, Exactly, I never said it was the Godly GTR I just said it was the Skyline, the nice, newly refined G35 sedan that we all now know and in my case love. And I've seen some pretty cool Japanese bodykits.

My Girl won't let me get the G35 Coupe. She wants a fat ring and a house instead.

But G35 Coupe all the way.

Can someone post up a pic of the RX-8? This is all cool though; Japanese sports cars making a comeback in the US. All we need now is another Supra and 3000GT

What Toyota will never be able to make the Supra better than the 1993. That was the best year for the Supra, limited edition ='ed 0-60 of 4.9 seconds!
and Mitsubishi is bringin the Lancer Evo7* January 2003
*as mitsubishi put it " 250 rabid horses" and AWD sweet!
Total Scooby fighter.
