Rear Anti Sway Bar

Since I am new to this forum I will appologize in advance for my ignorance on 2000 Maxima suspension modifications.
I have a 2000 Maxima SE with the 17" wheels and was told by the dealer that it has a rear AntiSway bar inside of the rear beam axle.
My goal is to reduce the amount of body roll when cornering.
Can one of the aftermarket (Stillen? Addco?) bars be added?
Does the existing rear bar have to be removed in order to add it? If yes, can you recommend someone?
Would this be the most effective means of reducing body roll or do you have another suggestion?
Thanks in advance for the help!

Here's some info on suspension mods courtesy of Maxima.org's FAQ page... https://maxima.org/maxfaqs/sub_suspe...#Suspension_1a

yep, the RSB will definately help reduce body roll

I've sold several Stillen RSB to the 2K guys and have had nothing but positive remarks.

The install can be done in your garage. All you need is a basic tool set, jack stands, and a few hours. There are several Max pages w/ install instructions (Paul Stauffer, Jeff Ketch, and a few others)

do the RSB first

Scoots I have 2000 Max SE also. Like you, I was told that the car comes with a rear sway bar. I had the car for 5 months and i was never able to find the rear sway bar. I wanted to upgrade the suspension even more after I added Eibach Sportline coils. I went to STILLEN(I live in socal) to have them install a rear sway bar and a front tower brace. After I had these two parts installed, the car handled alot better. I still have the Bridgestone tires that came with the car. There is a big difference in the handling of the car. It makes taking turns fast alot of fun. Its your money, but if I was you, Id go with a Stillen rear sway bar and front strut tower brace.

Stock one has to come off?? huh? I did mine this weekend and nowhere in the instructions does it say to remove the stock one, it's inside the beam. I didn't remove anything and it all seems fine, this is the first I've heard about this.
My first impression is that it helps quite a bit at the limit or should I say extended the limits of cornering. I have no complaints about it so far.

GotRice.... the stock rsb within the beam axle stays on. The new RSB is installed right below the beam.
