First MOD - BERK Installed

Hi all,
I've been reading this forum for a few months now and finally ventured into the world of MOD's. I got my Berk Intake yesterday at work and couldn't wait to get it installed. I had stuff to do with the wife and kid so my time was limited and I thought I would have to install it first thing this morning, but after reading all the posts on this forum about what to expect and how to install I decided to just go for it.
Thanks to you guys on the forum I was like a Nascar pit crew member as I ripped out my stock air box and installed my Berk. Sounds great and had no problems installing it. Took me approx. 15-20 min and this was my first time ever doing anything under the hood.
So just thought I'd post and say thanks to everyone on the forum. I think you guys hypnotized me somehow!

Jay

I don't really feel much of difference if any. I've read some other posts about giving the ecu time to adjust to the increased flow so maybe it will change in a week or two.

That's a good point. I had some confusion about the "Rubber O Ring". The only rubber anything was the peice coming from the resonator to MAF. I didn't have any problem with that. But the instructions from Berk made mention to retain a "small O ring" after removing the air box. So I assumed it was that piece. Am I right or did I miss a part?

You got it if it is the ring 3" or so that connects the MAF to the adapter. I am glad you got instructions...haha I didn't but most would not need them for this job.

I bolted the adapter directly to the MAF, I couldn't find any rubber O ring or gasket coming off of the original air box. The only rubber piece was at the other end connecting the MAF to the resonator???

Installed mine on Monday and have been having a blast all week!BaaaWAAA!! is the sound I hear. It feels like a different car to me! I am waiting for my Franken mid pipe to come and finish the job! I was done in 10 mins and I did not get the "o" ring between the adapter and maf, I tested for leaks with carb spray and none!
Thanks -- SS
