Shifter Replacement
Shifter Replacement
I'm trying to find out what's available to replace the stock 5-speed shifter in a '00 SE.
You know the one I'm talking about, the tractor-length piece with the basic leather shift **** (looks kinda like a black baseball with numbers cut in it...) and, without a doubt, the cheapest black plastic shifter boot I've ever seen on a car.
It's gotta go, and any info would be appreciated.

Shifter replacement and install questions
Stealin' and Pace Setter make STS for Maximas.
Speaking of that, I just got my Pace Setter STS from custommaxima.com
(mad props to Greg for excellent service!!!!) and have couple of questions:
1.How do I take apart the center console(I don't want to break anything).
2.The insert says "lightly grease pin side of the bushings in the Quick-Shift lever." What bushings are they talking about? Kit contents also states that two bushings are included. I'm lost...
Thanks for any info
