It's better than nothing, but I would recommend Meguiar's Gold Class wax and products.

It also makes a difference on what color car you have.

I hear Zaino is the ultimate for darker colors, but Meguiar's works fine since my car is pearl.

Try 2 coats of Mother's sealer/glaze and then follow up with a coat of Mothers Carnauba Wax.

For a new car, you don't need the first step as of yet, so skip it.

These are OTC items.

Cost more than Turtle Wax, but worth every penny.

Is the Turtle wax you have a cleaner wax? Cleaner waxes and polishes have abrasives in them to clean off old oxidized finish and remove swirl and haze. Avoid using such a product on your shiny new Max as all it will do is remove some of your clear coat.

Look for a true wax that is "abrasive free". Later on, your Max's finish will start to look a little less "shiny", maybe even a little hazy, from weather, sun, pollution and old wax even after a waxing. Then use a polish before waxing to bring back the new "wet" look.

Cleaner waxes combine the Polish and Wax into one, so every time you wax you polish, removing a little of your clear coat each time. Some of these are so agressive they could actually be called a rubbing compound, so be careful.

Yeah, save the turtlewax for your beater car. I also use Mothers products & love 'em. But I am very tempted to move onto Zaino... especially since everyone seems to love it.
