Meanest sound you can get for under $100.00

You know me and polls, so here's another one.

What I'm looking for is the meanest you can get your Maxima to sound for under $100.00 while keeping it street legal. And I'm not talking stereos here.

Cast your votes!

PS: I know it's a silly poll. Humor me.

No complaints, lcf. At $60.00 through the end of this month, the Berk Tuning Intake still wins my award for the best bang-for-the-buck performance mod for the Maxima.

Run over a cat very slowly!

It's mean, it's cheap, and it makes one hell of a sound!

Who cares what your car sounds like, The question is how fast you can go. The sounds should be free when you buy any performance part. If you want a mean sound, ask kev to make you a tape on a continuous loop so you can play it at full blast when you cruz. I'm sure he would do it for under 100 dollars.

Do you mean that the PTR muffler is staight-through ? If it's the case then I guess I just need to vote.

Same with Magnaflows, but that's probably for aluminized mufflers, and I think most of the guys want to go stainless steel. If you're willing to go aluminized, that would be an excellent combo!

I know plenty of people who are interested in getting more sound out of their exhaust systems, for example, and don't particularly care if it increases their performance. And for under $100.00, there's not much you can do to increase the performance of a 5th Gen Maxima exhaust system under any circumstances.

But I'm heartened to see that you don't have a problem expressing your own PERSONAL opinion on the subject, 20th maxstyle.

cone intake with res removed from throttle body, y-pipe, testpipe (RT cat to keep sorta legal), straight b-pipe no res, free flow muffler of choice. That should be pretty loud!

i dunno, i don't think i've ever heard a meaner sound than flowmasters on a high output engine, i think their most aggressive is the 30-series?

I removed my resonator for $40. I don't know how "mean" you want it to sound though. Removing the resonator does not increase sound by very much. Just gives it a slight growl. All the sound I really want to hear.

You're half way there, suds1. Now spend another $60.00 and buy a Berk Tuning Intake while they're still on sale through the end of this month. Then you can add a HOWL to your GROWL!!!
