We improved the sensor and are using it in Altimas that are now being made. We want to replace the sensor in your Altima with the improved version to assure optimum performance of your airbag system. This replacement will be free of charge."

 

I got this fixed today. Took about 20 minutes. So far it's been the only recall.

 

I've noticed many people experiencing the slaushing sound in the gas tank on SE V6 models. Thats on a full tank of gas and its very unusual. Then on manual transmission altimas (4 cyc or 6), the gears seem to get stuck or it just doesn't shift. I have seen more than 30 people complain and experience these problems. I think Nissan is trying to keep this on the "hush, hush" level.
