SSR Competitions on my 2K2

Sorry, no pics right now, but they are being develped. I love them!!!! I was concerned that they were going to be too dark for a black car but they look great. The Kumhos are really nice as well. These rims are so light that until my Kumhos are fully warmed up and broken in, I can easily break traction in first gear and bark the heck out of the shift into second. I'm going to either auto-x or drag race on Sunday so I'll let you know my performance impressions then.

I agree...

your car looked tight when you drove off. A little shimmer from the chrome lip in the light.. nice...

Thanks. Hope you enjoy those OEM 17s as well. Actually, there was a little vibration in the wheel when I drove home but I had all the tires re-balanced this morning and the car aligned and everything is well now. Later in the week my wheel gap will be fixed as well

Did you weigh them? I know the Competitions are light, but I heard Kumho tires are heavy.

The SSRs are 14.3lbs. Not sure about the Kumho tires. I know they are lighter than the BF Goodrich G-force KD (the other tire I considered) and certainly lighter than the OEM Bridgestone RE92s.

sup camden? I had some lightweight wheels on my SER (Rota circuit 8's) and LOVED them. light weight rims, IMO, are the best mod you can do for your car. The car felt so much more nimble and tossable with them on, and the acceleration was alot nicer too

Oh yah, I have the KYB AGX's on my SE-R but with Eibach prokit springs. I like the ride/handeling alot; i hope you like it too

Agreed

14.3 lb's is very light! My 18X8's SSR's weigh in at 19.5 lb's.
