guys...I own a 2k1 and have been hounding warpspeed for a y-pipe for some time now.

I got a voicemail last Friday from some guy at Warpseed (not Dallas some other guy.) Basically the guy told me the y-pipes are available in aluminized steel RIGHT NOW for 5th gen's but that the stainless steel ones won't be ready for a few weeks.

sh*t....I think I'm just gonna go with aluminized steel.....can't
make that big a difference anyway....right?

We have located a 2002 as a test car. We won't know if they fit the 2002 until the test car comes in, which should be shortly.

We have shipped a few B pipes for the 95-2000 and we have made a five degree bend adjustment to one of the bends. We have more being bent this week. We are going to test fit on a 2001 to see if more adjustments are needed.

The main reason we mentioned it on the website was to answer all the pricing questions. The first batches will be 2-1/4inch tubing. The next will be 2-1/2 and after that we will be running the 2-3/4inch. Each will need to be tested on several year Maximas.

I remember leaving a message on somebody's machine, thought it was a 2001.

Watch our site, we will be updating it as to when they will be available and for what year.

Anyways....the voicemail said that you guys had 2.5" aluminized y-pipes for 2001 maxima's. Is this true?

Probably a stupid question...but....

Does the y-pipe affect emissions at all??? Where does the thing go and why does it make more HP? I've been trying to figure out what the darn thing is and why everyone wants one!

Ok, just found the FAQ on the ol y-pipe. Seems pretty straight forward. I think I'll just mess with the intake for now.

I called you guys and...

I called a couple weeks ago regarding 2k2 y-pipes. The lady who picked up said that they were still looking for a 2k2 test car, so of course i volunteered mine. I know i'm in cali and that's far away, but I figured if two cali guys could prototype sub-frame connectors then it might be a possibility. Well she took down my information and said she'd have dallas call me or e-mail me. I still haven't recieved a response, so i'm seriously considering just getting one custom made if a y-pipe doesn't come out within a few weeks.

Well, my offer still stands, I'd be more than happy to help in any way-- pictures, measurements, test fits etc... for any upcoming products like radial arms, SFC's, Y-pipes or exhausts etc..
