You DEFINITELY want to jump on this, folks. At $59.95 with shipping, the Berk Tuning Intake is the best bang-for-the-buck performance mod you can make to your Maxima. Frankly, I don't know how Bryan gets away with selling his intakes so inexpensively.

And don't let all this talk about K&N filters damaging your MAF dissuade you. Yes, it's possible for a factory-oiled filter to damage your MAF. It's also possible to die from taking two aspirin. But in both cases, the odds are miniscule.

It is a REALLY good product! Actually Bryan is offering a fantastic deal here compared to the other choices for the same product. If you don't have it you should!

questions

What's the HP gain for an '01?
What's the noise increase/tone?
What's the benefit over K&N Drop-in?
What the difficulty of installation?

I've got one on the way.

I do have a dumb question though. What does MAF stand for anyway? I'm usually pretty good at figuring out abbreviatons but this one has me stumped. Massive Air Flow? Monster Air Filter? Maximas Against Fords?

Re: questions

1.not sure about berk's....stillen is about 5hp for manual
2.it's going to be louder....but wont be ricey
3.see how complicated our stock air box is?? aftermarket intake will have a more direct and sufficient air flow to the engine.
4.dunno....never install one

"Mass Air Flow" it is actually a sensor within the intake stream...

1. Usually around 5-8 hp
2. Sweet growl at WOT
3. Better air flow increases hp
4. Very simple, took me 20 mins.

Ok. From a Guy whos run both, Berk, Franken....... Brk is awesome ,and a GREAT DEAL ! Franken will give you a better look under the hood, and SOUND LIKE 5 BERK INTAKES IN ONE ! That freakin intake will scare away VETTES ! I find the performance levels to be the same ! If youre broke, and want a quiet intake.. go with the Berk..Great Quality..if you have $$ and want the sound of POWER..Go Franken !!!!!!

That when Coby is done fabricating his mid pipe it will give the Berk an even better sound and still be the best bang for your buck mod in all of Maxland.

I bought a Frankencar Intake... Love it. Don't like the move to Monsterflow though. I want an Apexi on the Frankencar tube. Would be sweet.

Once it took Paypal 34 days to complete a transaction. That was crazy. But yesterday I had a transaction that went through in 15 minutes. Was weird. Usually they take 4 days... and usually about 15 minutes away from being 5 days (they like to cut it close )

Then you get to wait another week for it to arrive! I guess I can't complain since the shipping is free though. Placed my order on 21st with a credit card, just got an email from FedEx saying it will be here on the 27th. They deliver on Saturday's now??
