Noise Problems with new brakes

I posted this a few days ago on a diffrent titled thread. Basically I changed to new brakes and had my rotors resurfaced. I am getting the same grinding noise I had before I changed the cars front brakes and just today noticed that it makes a annoying squealing noise. So I bought this stuff that is supposed to stop the noises. I followed the directions and applied the stuff to the back of the brake pads. I did another thing diffrently as well. I took out the thin metal plates that go on the back of the stock pads. I took it out to see if it still made the grinding and squeling noises. Well at first i thought I got rid of the problem but midway toward the road test it started giving me the grinding noise and gradually it got louder at each brake application. Then as I got home i got the squealing noise again. Does anyone know what I might have done wrong. This is really getting to me. I did break in the pads when i first changed them but I am left wondering if I need to bleed the brakes and put new fluid in. I really don't know what to do and I can't get new rotors now because I have no money to spend, at least not now. if anyone can provide and help or clues, advice, whatever...I would very much appreciate it. Thanks guys for your time and now I think I will go and cry cause nothing i tried has gone right. Take care.

Thats what i thought. The pads are from Hawk Performance. I got them from tirerack.com. I did a search a while after I posted this. Apparently I should have sanded down the rotors after they were turned. Even in the instructions that came with the pads suggest that I sand them down with 130 grit sandpaper.

As I've mentioned before, did you notice a "wishbone" or "V" looking spring that might have been forgotten when you changed the pads?

Although if you had the same problem before you changed your pads, I would guess it's a different problem entirely.

Just some thoughts.

I am not sure what you mean by the spring. I put everything back on. As I see it there were no springs, however, I am thinking that maybe you are refering to those pieces that clip on the caliper. There are two of them. One on each end. They are bronze in color sort of. And the brakes slide over them. They help keep the brakes in place as you slide the brakes on to the rotor. The clip that goes on the top has like little points or the ends extend out and go in the brake that has a pin on it. Is that what you where refering to. I am not sure. Maybe I am missing a part. Holla back. In any case, Thanks for your help. I appreciete everyone who has given me soem input into my situation. Take care guys. Oh I will try to get a photo up so you can see what I am taking about.
