I refuse to comment on any Stillen product as my bloodpressure may rise uncontrollably.

I'm STRONGLY leaning towards a NOS, ZEX, NX kit, etc.. in the next 6-months. I'm just not knowledgeable enough yet to feel safe enough to use it. I'm not concerned about the install, just the A/F ratio, stuck solenoid, or anything else that can go wrong.
My current FANTASY(plan!) is to get a 55-shot ZEX kit or maybe NOS kit until the warranty wears off. Then I will upgrade the fuel pump(Walbro), fuel lines(handle higher pressure), add adjustable FPRs, AF/EGT/fuel pressure guage, etc... Once I know my fuel system is bullet-proof I will up to a 75-100 shot and have the fuel tuned on a dyno. If this is not enough power and I find the need for more than push button limited use power, I can follow Kevs' path with the SC. I figure the bullet-proof fuel system will be fine for the SC and smaller pulleys, so then I just need to concentrate on cooling(IC/WI) and traction(Quaiffe&ACT clutch).
Is there any way you can do a "How To" writeup on installing a NOS kit, fuel pump, and FPRs?
More 5th gens want the "juice" and I think with more visible sucessful users, people wouldn't fear the unknown when it comes to NO2.

1)50-shot
2)Warranty expires
3)Upgrade fuel pump, fuel lines, FPRs, and all guages.
4)Work up to 100-shot.
5)If 100-shot is not enough follow your example, minus a few pulleys though.

I still need to be able to go back to stock easily. Just remove the NOS kit and reinstall the spare intake tube withOUT the nozzle hole.
I've pretty much heard/read that the stock fuel system can easily handle the 50-shot.
Do you disagree?

The nozzle hole is small so I doubt they'll notice unless they look for it.
Yes, the stock system can handle the 50 shot but I was thinking about the ease of "upgrading" if you had things in place.

I've been told and read it's NOT a good idea to use FPRs and turn up the fuel pressure on stock fuel lines/fittings. However, some guys on here are running 85+ psi, so apparently the stock lines can handle it. But for how long?
I know how tempting/easily it would be to up the shot once I felt safe with the 50, but unless I "tuned" on a dyno and knew I could go higher it wouldn't be worth the risk without upgrading the COMPLETE fuel system(pump, lines, fittings, FPRs, adding guages).
Some of us aren't prepared for the worst as YOU always say.

With the new fuel pump, you'll be able to handle 100 shot. Guys are even running rich on 100.

Only once would I have loved to have a 100-shot or your mods, which was against a '01 SS out in the middle of BFE from 93-140+mph. Of course I would have still gotten smoked, but man that would have been a different look on his face.
vs.
Go pick on some of those
Camaro/Firebird guys would ya?
The fuel system can handle the pressure, it's the injectors you have to worry about. Over 95psi, and they can lock open, not a good thing. The rest of the fuel lines don't have a problem.

I'm too picky to buy something like a SC kit withOUT knowing who installed/uninstalled, what pulley was used, when was it purchased, why did you remove it, how many miles, etc...
Too many variables for something to go wrong. Thanks for the replies though Kev.

This looks very interesting and would work well with my y/b-pipe and exhaust plans.

What did YOU do special to get your Walbro installed. Someone has to sticky a write-up on the Fuel Pump install.

50 shot
I doubt with a 50 shot an upgraded fuel pump would be needed. Most cars run super rich from the factory anyway. At most you should need is a rising rate FPR like the B&M. I was on the Zex website and they don't have an application listed for any Maxima. Anyone know if they're working on something?

75 shot or above, get a fuel pump and a universal Paxton adjustable fuel pressure regulator...$125 + about $60+ in fittings...
oh yea, you'll need to get the fuel pressure reg. "off fitting" too.

Can you detail how/where you installed the FPR? What fittings, etc.. you needed? A pic is worth a thousand words if you could please.
I found the NOS #5124 kit for $499, is that the best price you've seen?
I plan on getting the blanket, purge kit, remote bottle opener, NOS pressure guage, FP guage, AF/EGT monitors, RPM window switch(MSD?). I don't think I need the bottle warmer here in the Arizona desert, do they make a CHILLER
?Anything else I need for a 55-70 shot? Thanks for the info!
