Hubcentric rings are adapters that allow wheels that are not hubcentric to your vehicle to fit properly. Some wheel manufacturers make wheels with large center hubs and have hubcentric rings for several vehicle applications. It is important for your wheels to be hubcentric so you do not have wheel balance issues.

The gold ring u see on the top right wheel is a hubcentric ring. This goes on the backside of the wheel so that it mounts right to your rotor/hub and keeps the wheel centered. It is possible to mount a wheel w/o a hub ring and keep it centered but it is easier to use a hub ring.

The reason for the hub centric ring is mostly for European cars. European cars have studs instead of lugs so the rim is not centered by the studs and the ring centers the rim on the hub. For our cars the lugs will keep the rim centered so you don't really need the center ring, but as a precaution it is recommended
