KYB AGX Availability

Sorry for beating another topic to the ground, but does anyone have a definitive answer on when AGX's will be available for 5th geners???

Now use the 4th gens AGX, and shave the top of the strut mount, when you are doing the suspension you will understand. Its been done and it will work.

thanks for the info! If I have to wait too long, I will modify them. I am not in a rush, so I would prefer to wait. Have you done this?

cattman has the modified 4th gen AGX to 5th gen....u have to get the parts from 4th gen to make it compatible. 450 for the shocks, 50 for the parts.

kinda expensive

I've done the modifying.

$345 shipped for the AGXs + 5/minutes per strut mount on the grinder.

that's a good deal....did u have to modify the shock too?

No, just upper strut mount had to be modified. Could always use 4th gen upper mount.
BTW watch your ABS lines on 5th gen if you do the install.

Looks like modification is the only choice The following is a reply from someone at KYB.


At this time there are no plans to manufacture the AGX's for the 5th Gen Maxima.
Possibly in 1 to 2 years.
