Maxspeeds need alignment?

Maxspeeds need alignment?

I swear I read a couple members agreeing once that "no alignment was needed" after installing Maxspeeds. Was this reasoning from the less than avg drop of these springs? It has been said that the drop is initially 1.25" front and .5" in back w/ ~.25" settling over time (correct me if I'm wrong). Does this call for an alignment?

If so, how quickly must it be done to avoid irregular tire wear or any other dangers?

Thanks in advance for good advice.

People get away w/o having an alignment done and in some cases it doesn't really matter.

But for me, my rule is whenever i mess with a cars suspension i try to get an alignment done.

shop guy

said a less than 1.5" drop shouldn't need it, but to keep an eye on tire wear.

any time you take the cars suspension apart you have changed the alignment.. you should always get an alignment after messing with the suspension.. i mean.. if an accident on stock springs can cause alignment to be off... what do you guys think?

Sprinties right

If you have done any changes or "tweaks" to your suspension it would be good to do a alignment fix or you will be wearing your brand new tires out unevenly and its gonna cost you much.

Does your car pull differently?

I installed Maxspeeds and the alignment is fine.

I'll wait until the stock shocks go and get an alignment later.

2 months and no irregular wear....

If you have the $$ and want your suspension to be perfect, get an alignment.

Good news! Have there been any other issues running on stock struts?

you DON'T have to get an alignment.. but you will be buying tires and paying for an alignment quicker than you think..

so its your choice.. $60 now? or tires and $60 later..

I don't think the warranty covers unusual tire wear caused by a misalignment.

I was responding to the "you'll be buying tires sooner than you think" statement.

I did my Maxspeeds at the same time. So far, I haven't noticed any uneven wear on my stock 15" steelies. Once I get new rims hopefully in a few months, then I WILL get a front end alignment.

You only need to get the front-end realigned, right? I thought since we have the solid beam rear axle that our camber doesn't get thrown to crap if you lower the car.

Sprint's point was that unusual tire wear by misalignment will eventually force you to buy new tires.

You responded with the remaining miles on your warranty and i responded back by saying i don't think warranty covers the unusual tire wear.
