2k2 Stopper replacement
2k2 Stopper replacement
I started talking to a guy that works for Nissan at the Englishtown swap meet and he asked if I got the stopper recall done. According to him, they recalabrate the computer and with the new stopper the car cant go to full throttle. I dont think that this was confirmed before but now it is. So if you havent gotten it done, DONT!! It wont hurt anything!!!

i got it replaced too! it accually feels faster! i know that they recalibrated the ECU which doesnt mean that it wont let u floor it, it means that they re-set the ECU to tell how far your pedal is moving with the new pedal so that when u floor it the car knows that it is traveling less but still being floored if that makes any sense! i would say get it done if ur car goes into limp mode everytime but if not i dont see a big problem not getting it done! do what u want but it doesnt prohibit u from flooring your car!

think about it..
does that make any sense? detune your engine? lawsuit anyone? (ala Mustang). I seriously doubt they would take throttle and/or HP away. You would sue, they would lose and they know this.
Just another case of them not wanting to do a 5 min fix.

It's kind of a mute point. If the car ever goes in for warranty work, they will see that it has not had the recall and they will fix it then. On numerous occasions, I have taken vehicles in for warranty work and they have fixed all recalls/TSB's needed after pulling the car up in their system....
