7 out of 11 confirmed, Need 4 more!

So far I have 7 including myself as buyers for the Fiber Image Carbon Fiber Hood for the 5th gen. We still need 4 more buyers and Ill have the hood shipped to FI so they can make the mold and get us our hoods. To quickly repeat the info originally posted:
1. Hoods are real quality CF and are a replica of our stock hoods.(No vents)
2. Price is $550 per hood + shipping.
3. Hood pins would not be included, and are not completely neccassary, hoods will use all stock hinges.
4. Hood weight is roughly from 45-75lbs lighter than stock.
5. All specific questions please contact me via email jhans114@msn.com or PM me. Once you feel ready and want in on this deal then please email me your full name, address, phone # so I could contact you to verify.

Thanks

Is this a one time price? I mean after you have them make it, will they have the dimensions of the hood on computer so they can start making them for anyone else later on that would like to order? This deal is very tempting, but I dont have the money right now to pay.

This deal is for the $550 price and to get the mold done so they can continue making the hoods, as for the retail price will be $699. But keep my info, since I have an account with FI then I could get you a discount later when your ready to get the hood, might not be $550 but won't be $699 either.

I'm in the same boat as you are. I'm sure there are more of us that want this but cannot afford it right now. Let's all get together in a little while and get another deal going.

jhans114, we'll let you know when we're ready...

That sounds like a good deal... but can't afford it now
Keep me in mind in about a month or so... I should be good to order by then! So it will use the stock hinges and hood latch?

One question. I don't want to put thing thing on permanentely. Is there any way to be able to swap back and forth (with 30 minutes or so of work?)

Ya, just take a few bolts off and do the swap.

jhans114, am I one of the 7 people? If not count me in, I want to loose some weight!

Let's go folks, we need a few more people to make this happen!

1. Any chance to can work it so that the price includes shipping? The GD that Animax98 set up was for $560 shipped.

2. Has FiberImages addressed some of the quality controls issues & fitment issues noted in the 4th gen GD thread? See the link ...

Are you/they sure we don't need hood pins?

Is the hood pure carbon fiber (how many layers?) or is there a fiberglass core.
