My side mirrors were stolen, just the mirror piece, the housing looks still intact and the motors still seem to work. Does anyone know if I can purchase just the glass piece and where?

I swear ppl are sooo F%CKED up!!! Thievin ****ers....

when my side mirror was smashed, the dealership charged me $215 for the assembly. that was just the mirror part and the housing that attached to the car. if they were heated, they would have been over $300.

The glass by itself shouldn't be too bad....hopefully.

sorry dude that happened. someone did that to my 4th gen, i was ****ed but didn't pay no big dolla's to get it fixed. i went to the imports junk yard, looked around and found 2 or 3 maximas. just took the most clean one, cost me 10 bucks and 20 minutes..
moral of story: bad things happen, but don't whine and take yo *** to the junk yard,,,j/k

Re: Stolen side mirror ?

You might check the prices at www.oem-car-parts.com if you don't have luck with the junkyards. My driver side mirror (92 Maxima SE) was completely smashed recently and I'm thinking about ordering one from their site if I can't find something cheaper. I'm hoping it's a relatively simple fix once I get the part.

A flat head screwdriver, wrap a piece of cloth around it, stick in the crevice between the lens and housing, and just pry outward. The lens assembly have splined/threaded pins that press into the worm gear-type pinions inside the actuator.

Woosh: Were your mirrors heated? Perhaps someone who doesn't have that option wanted to convert their car over. Do as Dba1999us said, try the local junkyards before you plunk down all that cash for new parts.

Thieves be stealin' weird stuff... They are degradin' their own profession by doing this. Low lifez going lower. At least steal something of valuable.

Thievin bastards

Red92max:
I ordered a new pair from the man himself DaveB.

Albertt:
I think it was removed exactly like you said. Thank god no scratches. It wasn't heated but they probly stole it thinking it was. I think you need more that just the mirror to make it heated though, Could some say if this is so or not?

Maximariven:
I went to a (supposed) used parts (cough: stolen parts) area here in NYC and they all had the mirror in pairs . In the end I refused to buy it and support the ****ed up mirror market, they created. So its big business here in NYC.

In the end some people just have no respect for other ppl shiznit
(just don't let me catch you)

out
woosh (still ****ed)
