Pricing

All parts in development are listed at $1.00. The price on the FLT-A2's will be less than list.

Coilover update

We have been taking advance orders on these. The shipment and our allocation arrives in a few weeks. Per JIC there is no group deals through individuals and only orders can be taken by an "Authorized Dealer" only. They do not sell directly to the public.

JIC will forward all calls to the closest dealer. We are the Northeast dealer. We can though, take orders from anywhere.

We will have discounts for this Forum. The supply is limited for the a33. Should you want a set you will need to get your order done.

One person asked about the difference between the SF-1 and FTL-A2. The major difference is the fact that the FLT-A2 has full dampening and rebound adjustments. The SF-1 does not. For just street applications the SF-1 is the best bet for the mopney. Any street/ strip and/or track applications is best suited for the FLT series. The other advantage is that authorized dealers can order your set with specific spring rates. This way we can dial in the exact specs for your car and type of driving.

We have installed 4 sets and I race on them as well.

Again get your orders in now as supply initially will be limited and we have a few already allocated.

As for pricing - The prices on the online store will be adjusted as soon as we set our pricing.

Regards

Thanks, that was very informative, however I find it mildly rude that you would post in your competitor's thread

Re: Re: Coilover update

No intention to be rude or step on a thread. People wanted answers to questions and as an authorized dealer we had the reposnses people needed to make a decision on JIC Product.

The key here also is that when expectations are set for Forum members they need to be informed before things get out of hand.

I encourage people on any forum to check with the distributors and or manufacturers as to who is authorized to sell their product.

IU have seen to many times in the past where people ( in general ) make commitments or assume they can act as a dealer only to find out they can not. The bottom line here is that you as a forum member wait longer for the parts, or find out your parts are not coming at all.

As a major dealer for a bunch of manufacturers, it is our contractual obligation as a dealer tyo insure the product is accurately represented.

As it pertains to JIC, I encourage people to find out who the authorized dealers are and then make their purchases based on that list of dealers.

Regards

We still DO NOT HAVE ANY ANSWERS TO OUR QUESTIONS!!!!!

1)Differences between SF-1 / FLT2 / FLT A2?
2)How low can these drop the car? You've said UP TO 2", but I HIGHLY doubt that, since supposedly the FTL-A2 come with camber plates. There is NO reason if we can ONLY drop 2".
3)Can they be rebuilt? If not, what happens when the strut wears out? How do we fix them?
4)Ride quality compared to stock if adjusted to "softest" settings?

I want to know SPECIFICATIONS. Every last friggen detail. Such as standard spring rates, optional rates, how do you make height adjustments, differences between the SF-1 / FLT2 / FLT A2 , etc.. and the PRICE!!! I don't play the "I can't advertise for fear of the wrath of Stillen or now JIC bullsh!t". If that's how they want to play, you shouldn't buy products from them or bother advertising here.

Your a great guy Paul, but don't worry yourself with who we buy through. Just give us all your information and your best price. The rest is up to us to decide if it's worth the risk for saving a COUPLE HUNDRED dollars by going through a "non-authorized" dealer.

Do a search for the specs. I posted every detailed spec in the For sale section a while ago. But here they are again.

As for ride, the springs are progressive rate and very smooth on normal surfaces. Spring rates for the street run from 8k to 9K. The race set up we are running is 16K front and 14K rear. These are very very quite coilovers.

For the A32 the normal set up is 8k front and 6k rear. We can have the combination sent any way a customer wants. The A33 will be around the same.

Here are specs.

He woun't tell you rideable becuz it is debatable...People hack springs all the time to drop it 4 inches, but is it rideable? To them it is, but would you do it? All debatable. You can take it past clearing the tires with any coilover, with all the adjustments you can play with it for years to get the right drop and feel to get it right.

So Jayson, If im not mistaken you have the Cattman Coilovers correct?? If so what is the lowest that you have dropped the car and what is your opinion of ride quality...? Maybe since you too drive a maxima you can give me a better perspective than someone that doesn't. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I have them...As they sit right now I believe it's dropped a little more than 2", it's flush with the 19"s...Ride quality is great...Noise quality is standard. I tend to keep them at 2 front and 4 rear if I feel frisky maybe 3 front and 5 rear but even on full still ,it's not bad, stiff but not bad at all. The only thing I would add is to watch the big dips that you tend to hit at the last second and never see, it can be a little shocking if your drinking a beer I mean soda or somthing But overall, handling, looks, some noise, ride quality, it's all there, pretty darn good overall. Are there any specific things you'd like me to answer?

By the way off topic but do you know the exact size of the factory crank pulley?

Actually you've answered my questions perfectly, alot better than Avalon did. Yeah they gave me alot of good info on quality of the material but nothing on the the looks and ride. And on the OT i dont know the actuall dimensions..sorry.

According to Dixit,

So approximately 6-1/4".

Are you trying to calculate the SCs' maximum RPM? If so, I already posted it somewhere, but Kevin would know from experience.

Yeah I'm trying to calculate the impeller speed of the supercharger so I can get the smallest pulley possible without killing the blower. If the crank pulley is 6.75 then the 2.87 s/c pulley I was planning on my not work good.

Which model do you have of the V-2 SQ?

1)S-Trim

or

2)SC-Trim

The S-Trim maximum impeller speed is 50,000rpms, but the SC-Trim maximum impeller speed is 53,000rpms.

Using Vortechs' calculator with a 6.25" crank pulley diameter, 6400rpm Max shift rpm, and a 2.87" SC pulley size, you will have an impeller speed of 50,313.59rpms.

So, if you have the SC-Trim you would be fine with a little extra, plus your right at the maximum efficiency for that unit. The S-Trim would be borderline, but you'd be 5,000rpms ABOVE the maximum efficiency impeller speed.

It's the base trim, with 50k max speed. I measured the pulley this weekend, guess i should have just checked my mail first I guess I either have to find my boost loss, or just risk it, I know they under rate the max speed a little i just wonder how much.

I bought a 1996 Honda Accord this weekend as a daily driver/second car and it had Neuspeed sports on stock shocks. After driving a piece of crap car like that I feel better about having my JIC's!! Damn, I don't know how you could drive a car like that! It handles SOOO sh!tty I could not believe it! I stocked it over the weekend and it actually feels better stock than it did lowered. What's funny is that it has factory front and rear sways on it but still handles like an oil tanker.

PS - Does anyone know someone with an 1994-97 Accord that wants the following:

RSR Catback
Neuspeed sport springs
Mugen front grill
Greddy shift **** - blue top
Ingalls front camber kit
17 inch ADR (Volk Challenge copy) with 2 good tires.
Clears - all (bumper, corner, rear bumper)

All for $675
