Disable auto A/C, defrost?

Is there any way to disable the A/C automatically coming on when the temp slider is all the way to the left? Also to disable the compressor turning on w/ the defrost vent location is selected?

Why do you want to do that? The AC helps it defrost a lot faster. Its a feature in all cars these days

I asked how to do it, not should I do it.
Lots of people on the Frontier forum do it. I did it to mine. But they're manual controls, unlike the maxima's electronic controls.

This is one thing about the '02 that I really did not understand. The sad part is that Nissan made the compressor come on when you slide the temp select to the left because people are dumb enough not to know to get MAXIMUM cooling you need to select recirculate and AC.

To disable the compressor for the defrost press 2 buttons at the same time so that ALL of the buttons are popped out (no select lights will be lit).
