Road Rage that became a Road Kill..

What's up people, a couple of days ago I was getting on 295, I was coming down the on ramp traffic was light, I was in the slow lane for a 1/4 mile then I proceeded to make my way over looking around, using signals nothing that would infuriate anyone else, As I got to the second lane I get behind this old @$$ jeep pickup that had bumperstickers plastered all over the back end and rear window. I am a 1/2 car length behind him he was doing 60 mph, I looked over my left shoulder, left turn signal is on ( nothing aggresive again! )preparing to get into the fast lane something told me to look forward and just as I did, this jack@$$ had jammed on his brakes, and was looking back at me! all i had time to do was swerve from behind him into the fastlane, this put me right beside him door to door, I looked ahead and there was nothing in front of him, I was still in 3rd gear, he was making gestures and freaking out, I had the sunroof open, 3/4 of me wanted to pull over and set him up for an ambulance ride to the hospital, 1/4 was like WTF, there was nothing to make him do that!
I waved at him through the sunroof and punched it, he frowned, tried to punch it looking like he wanted to pursue before I knew it, I had gone through the gears and was cruising at 110,I left him instantly, then I got up into slow traffic and had to shut it down, maybe he didn't like nissans. it was weird but it was true. since he punched it that qualifies as a kill in my book.:

Well, you know what I thought from the subject title. That someone started shooting. But I guess you both did.

If it were me....

I would stay right besides him and make the gesture to pull over. Then Id kick his stupid dumb *** for doing something even that stupid with no other cars around. Or I would stay side by side with the jerk and **** him off till he gave me reason to run his *** off the road. As a precaution I would also double check to make sure he was dead and if not Id finish him off myself.

Missed your last anger management class, huh?

Really though, there are some dumb mothers out there, but watch your butt...I know here in TX (where you can carry a handgun (supposedly with a permit), it kind of makes encounters like that potentially much, much worse...especially if you don't know what the other guy has under the seat...

bummer

From the title of the thread, I was hoping you'd actually killed him. Oh, well he should be dead soon enough on his own. I've been in that situation a couple of times and I think the safest thing to do is put as much tar between you and him as possible. This guy is either gonna cause a wreck or pull out a gun. Be safe!

I'll say this having the power to instantly pull away felt great!

One of my friends who has a 2k SE like mine had a fun run-in the other day too : some guy cut him off without signaling, and slowed down right in front of him... so he changes lanes to pass, and just as he's pulling up next to him, the guy starts lipping curses at him.. obviously just lipping off isn't enough, so just as he's done cursing, he begins to raise his hand to flip my friend the bird - and disappears.

Turns out he forgot he was on the highway doing 60mph+ and as he was looking at my friend swearing and making motions, he rammed his car into the back of a large cube van going about 20-30 (merging into traffic).

Another dolt served

man...I would leave those ppl alone.. their intention is to catch up with u and give u a finger. In that case...they are not 100% concentrate on the road....but to show off that they got iron *****. I have been to one of these situations.....that road rage **** will just do anything to catch up on me....drive on the shoulder, go between cars (he made a 2-lane freeway into a 3-lane). They got nothing to lose at the moment of heat.

I completely agree. There are plenty of crazy people out there. I'm not saying to roll over and die, but antagonizing these people is the last thing you want to do.

Yes I think antagonizing a person like that is the last thing you want to do. I ran into (not literally) a road rager yesterday morning. He cut in front of me, and I flashed my brights at him to let him know how close he was. Then he proceeded to flip me off dozens of times and I kept waving. Finally I got by him and just kept on going...his truck couldn't keep up with me, oh well...

A friend of mine ran into some road ragers and she wasn't even on the road. Apparently she had parked some guys in at a parking lot and they followed her and her friends. Then followed for about 10 miles, then pulled along side, rolled down their windows, and proceeded to shoot at them. Fortunately no one was hurt. They were going too fast, and the cars were too far apart to do any major damage. Just goes to show you, you never know who has a gun and who doesn't.
