Hardwire Radar Detector

the only one with pictures that im familiar with is the 5thgenmaximas.com site but it seems to be down. anyone have instructions on how to hardwire an 8500?

I just did mine and it works great. Get the direct wire kit from Escort. Tap into either of the blue and white wires. I had two of them. They come on when accessory is on. Works like a charm. PM me if you need more help.

i did mine the same way, it's just a bel 850 but it's nice not to worry about having to plug it in all the time, it only turns on when the car is turned on, not even when in the accessory mode.

i bought a hardwire kit from a local hook up shop.. All you do is tap in the wire from the back of the cigerette lighter adapter in the dash and run it upto the radio and from there up to the clock... WORKS LIKE A CHARM!
