My trunk (on my 2000 SE 5sp) kept striking my bumper and scarring the paint. It came up as a service bulletin, and I had the dealer replace the "clips", as directed by Nissan. It's too soon to tell if the fix works. The bumper did not reallign with the side of the car when repositioned.
It was not a minor procedure. Further, I still have to touch up the original paint damage.
?cure worse than the disease.
