I've had my Blue GLE for a few days now, and I am very impressed. Power is great, the breaks are solid and the ride is very quiet. Even the intangibles seem to be done well too...the headlights are blindingly bright, and the seats are big and comfortable. I was also considering the Audi A4 1.8T and the VW Passat. The Audi was a blast to drive...very nimble, but I thought it was too small. The VW was nice, and had it had more power and room, the choice would have been extremely difficult. Of course, the Maxima is considerably quicker than both

My only concern is that from a normal launch, i hear a slight, but noticeable whirring, almost wheezing noise coming from the engine when the tach sweeps past about 2000rpm. This only occurs in first and second gear. The sound is hard to describe and it isn't very loud, but it is somewhat disconcerting in a brand new car. Has anyone experienced this same phenomenon or know how to fix this, if it is a problem? Thanks a lot.

Once the car is broken in, I have some minor mods planned...probably new rims and an intake. Hope to have much fun in this car!!
