Computer Chip Questions

A friend of mine asked me to find out about the chips available for a 2001 Maxima SE Automatic, I would really appreciate if you guys could help me out.

1. Who makes the different chips for a Maxima?

2. What are the gains from the chips available.

3. What are the advantages/disadvantages of getting a chip? I have heard that increased trans pressure is a common place with most chips, and is pretty hard on the trans.

I did a little searching around the board and I didn't really find the information i was looking for. I hate to ask questions that have been asked a million times too. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The jetchip is a debatable mod.

Haltech E6k is the good one..If your N/A you can gain a good 1 hp and 1.2 ft/lb of tq...if your really s/ced you can get alot out of it.
