My new 02 max for sale
This sucks, I have to move out of my house and sell my car so I can afford rent. Anyways my brand new 02 is for sale. It is an SE Black with frost leather, HLSD, NAV, BOSE, Meridian, MOONROOF only 500 miles on it(not even broken in). Everything you can get is on it. I am located in Phoenix, AZ. I paid 31k for this(got ripped) and am looking to get 29.5 for it in return. If you are looking to buy one now is your chance to not pay tax or worry about dealer fees. I am willing to drive and meet people who live close to me. Serious buyers only please.
people that bargain are paying no more than invoice for maximas right now - take 2 or 3 grand off the invoice price of a comparable model and you might get an offer. You have to provide an incentive for buying a used car when most people who spend that kind of money on a car prefer a new one. Good luck.

why
not to flame, but why would I buy your used '02 for $29.5k when I can get my own new one with the exact same options for $28k?
Because you got ripped doesn't mean we're going to pay for it.

This is pretty much brand new. The newest used car you can get. It has under 500 miles on it, driven to work and back, and from the dealer. Only 5 days off the lot.

The guy is selling his car he is not asking for your opinions. Let him sell it and not fight over the price. Who ever wants it will buy it if NOT then then he might have to keep it cause he will take a bigger loss if he sells the car for cheap.
The other thing to keep in mind is since it's been titled, it is in fact a used car even if it only has 500 miles on it, so you'd have to get a used-car loan for it which has higher interest rates than new.
Dude, I'd look for a cheaper apartment before I tried to sell a 2-3 month old car. You'll get raped on it (especially since you got raped when you bought it) and end up owing a few thousand to pay off.
Even if you have to live in a lesser apt, at least you have a sweet car! Another way to think of it is, paying rent is just throwing money down the drain -- the more you pay, the more you throw away. If you keep this car you'll at least have something more valuable to sell at the end of the loan, which can't be said of the apartment.

True...
and everyone take it easy...crap, the dude is in a lousy situation (regardless of why)...and the last thing he needs is us making it worse by pointing out 'mistakes' or any other BS.
He needs a buyer or constructive suggestions. Not a slamfest.

P.S. For instance, in today's newspaper Connell Nissan in Costa mesa, CA is advertising 2 ' 02 GLEs with leather for $22,999 ( " net cost to you " ). But, one look at the MSRP ( $27,718 ) and I can tell that I wouldn't be interested in the equipment selection on these vehicles. Also, what color are they ?
Dude, don't sell. I bought a 2000 SE right when they came out for like $23,000 plus tax, etc. I thought I had to sell it to qualify for a house and I panicked and sold it for $19,500- what I owed. I had put $6000 down. I lost $6000 over a friggin car that I had for 6 months.
DON'T DO IT! I still kick myself and I will NEVER NEVER NEVER buy a NEW car again!
ALWAYS BUY AND SELL PRIVATELY!! NO SALES TAX IN AZ! NO DEPRECIATION WHEN YOU DRIVE IT OFF THE LOT!
I finally wised up and bought my 2nd SE- used for $17,800- with a TON more options......

I find this hard to believe. In my area there is an occasional ad for a stripped model ( with MSRP ~ 24K - 25 K )that can be had for ~ 21K but that's it. IMO the bulk of the more desirable Maximas are holding at ~ invoice. The largest of the 3 Nissan dealers in my area recently had a " red tag " sale on Maximas. When I got to the lot I quickly discovered that only selected Maximas with less desirable equipment combinations, color, etc. were red tagged. Maximas like my Sterling Mist SE with Bose, auto, etc. weren't even tagged. One salesman stated " We'll give you a good deal on the other Maximas but they aren't part of the sale ". None of the " red tagged " Maximas appealed to me. Oddball equipment, color, etc. And I checked the delivery date on a couple of these and they had been on the lot for several months. The few customers there bypassed these as well and were looking at the Maximas that weren't tagged.
