Need help weather to trade in for 2k2

I was at the dealer today, test drove a 2k2 SE fully loaded(no navi)

the guy there started convinceing me to buy it...it was a very very nice ride, the steering wheel though is very soft.

anyways, for 6k i can trade in my fully loaded 2k1 SE Sterling Mist Auto to a fully loaded 2k2 SE Auto

my car has 34k mileage(which is a lot) and i got a small hit on the back left bumper.

i might be able to even get a 5.5k for it...but what do you guys think? worth it?

btw.....2k3 will be out probaby in september so that takes off like a whole year for me

All I know is that the prices are a LOT lower right now , than they were when I bought My 2K2 a few months ago. I could get my 2K2 W/ Navi for about 28K...here in Cali.

they are low because the dealers want to get rid of the 02 to give space for the 03

Dude, don't do it. Sell privately. They will hand you your *** at a dealership.

Well I already posted about this so maybe you can get some ideas from there. I myself am pretty sure that i'm kepping mine. You have to think of one thing car companies will always come out with something better and more advanced then your car all the time. If I were you I would wait for a few years and try to pay your car off, then maybe trade it in or just keep yours and buy a totally different car. But if you're truly unhappy with your car then say goodbye to it and say hello to the 2k2 or wait and say hello to the 2k3. Anyways just my 2 cents and here's the link http://forums.maxima.org/showthread....hreadid=118806 Hope this helps.

I love my Max, and most likely would love a Sterling Mist 2K2, 6 spd. even more. Are you sure you want to pay $6K to upgrade your car to a nearly year old model? Seems like the 2K3 are just around the corner. If you reallu have to have the 2K2, maybe you can use your knowledge of the upcoming 2k3 to your advantage. I personally would rather wait to look at the G35 Coupe, or next gen Max before committing again to the exact same car(same except for 255hp engine). Can you not wait and maybe look at an entirely different car? Seems like lots of folks on these board are having even more problems on their 2K2's that we initially had on 2K's or 2K1's(paint chips, bad windshields, rough starts, faulty transmissions, bad brakes). Tough call, I'm glad I'm not making it.
